State Bank of India (SBI) will officially activate the link to download the SBI PO Admit Card 2018 for Mains Examination on July 20, 2018. Phase – I : SBI PO Preliminary Examination – Exam Structure
SBI PO Prelims exam is conducted in online mode only. SBI PO Prelims exam comprises of 100 multiple choice questions under 3 main sections namely English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability. Total marks allotted for SBI PO Prelims exam is 100 marks and Total Duration of SBI PO Prelims exam is 60 mins (1 hour).

Negative Marking:- There would be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by you, there would be no negative marking for that question.
The questions in objective tests, except for the test of English Language, would be made available in English & Hindi. With a particular objective to attend the SBI PO Mains exam, Candidates have to qualify in each of the three sections mentioned above, by securing cut-off marks as decided by SBI. Adequate number of the aspirant s in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of job and intern vacancies subject to availability) will be short listed for the Main Examination.
Phase – II : SBI PO Mains Examination – Exam Structure
Main Examination will consist of
- (i) Objective Test for 200 marks and
- (ii) Descriptive Test for 50 marks.
Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests would be online. Candidates should answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test would be administered.
(i) SBI PO Mains Objective Test:-
SBI PO Mains objective test comprises of 155 multiple choice questions under 4 main sections namely Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language. There is separate timing for every section as mentioned below:

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks would be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The candidates will be surely required to qualify present in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank. Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates would be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks present in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high according to total marks in objective test.
Phase – III : SBI PO Interview
Candidates are shortlisted for PO interview based upon their SBI PO Mains examination marks only. SBI PO prelims marks are certainly not considered for Interview. In phase III, Group Exercises are conducted for 20 marks & Interview is conducted for 30 marks.
SBI PO 2018 Final Selection
Final merit listing of SBI PO vacancies is based on SBI PO Mains examination marks + Interview Marks. The candidates should qualify both in Phase-II (SBI PO Mains Exam) and Phase-III (SBI PO Interview) separately, by securing Marks secured by the candidates present in the Mains Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Exercises & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Exercises & Interview out of 100 for each category.
